We made another large update today.
Next changes that can be expected in the next couple of weeks include:
- The challenger calendar was made more realistic. This means there are a lot less challengers every week and mostly for less points than before
- All players lower than rank 200 can join futures (was 300 before)
- Everyone can join practise tournaments. The players are then divided in groups based on their ranking so they play people close to their strength
- There is no more xp penalty for winning a match in practise tournaments and practise matches. The xp formula still depends on the number of points the opponent made so the winner will still usually get more xp but the difference is far less in close matches
- The age factors are changed to go up and down more gradually. 14 year old players now have 60% instead of 40%, and the age factor of older players goes down much slower.
Next changes that can be expected in the next couple of weeks include:
- Convert your old players to "trainers" that will operate similar to practise matches.
- A VIP server where only VIP players will play. The maximum limit of players will be much lower (50-100) to give players there a larger chance to contract a top player
- A few more changes to the VIP account, like a fourth player, player ranking graphs and an option to let someone else manage your players while you are on holiday

The ranking formula is updated to the 2009 rules now.
- There is a separate 500 category for max 4 tournaments
- Grand Slams and masters are obligatory for the year end top 30 of the previous year. They receive 0 points if they don't participate
- Monte Carlo has masters points, but is in the 500 category and is not obligatory for top 30 players
- The WTC falls into the 500 category if this would benefit the players ranking
- For doubles 18 tournaments are counted instead of 14

Happy New Year from the Rocking Rackets staff!
As a New Year's present, we've changed the layout of our website. You may have noticed, seeing as everything looks different now? :-) The new layout was designed by Nymphaea. She did a wonderful job with it! Thank you, Nymphaea!
The new layout also features support for right-to-left scripts. This allows us to have translations for Hebrew and all languages that use the Arabic script. The Hebrew translation has been done for quite some time, but is now fully supported by Rocking Rackets. Thanks to dabrox for translating!

Two small changes were made to the game:
Firstly, if a player has a bye in the first round and loses in the second he will be given only first round points. This is the official rule in these cases.
Secondly, the TMC scoring is fixed, giving 200 points for a round robin win, 400 for a semi-final win and 500 for the final win.
These changes take effect only for new tournaments.
